Group II Retirement Coalition is a dedicated group committed to supporting the brave men and women who serve as our first responders in New Hampshire.
We are a non-profit organization formed to legally combat the unfair and unconstitutional changes made to the retirement benefits here in NH of our firefighters, police officers, corrections officers, nurses, and probation/parole officers.

Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in supporting New Hampshire’s law enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders, corrections officers, and nurses. These brave individuals put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe, and they deserve to retire with the dignity and security they were promised.
Unfortunately, that promise was taken away in 2012, when damaging changes to the retirement system stripped vital benefits from 1,800 public employees. As a result, many of our most experienced and dedicated public servants are leaving New Hampshire for other states where pay and benefits are more competitive. This has created a serious challenge for our state’s ability to retain the talented professionals who keep us safe.
The NH Group II Retirement Coalition is committed to reversing these harmful reforms. We have already made strides in restoring some of the benefits through recent legislative wins, but we know there is still much more work to be done. Our fight isn’t over, and it will require both legal action and continued legislative efforts to fully restore the benefits these public employees earned and deserve.
We believe that those who spend their careers protecting others should not have to worry about their own retirement security. With your support, we can continue our efforts to bring justice to the men and women who have given so much to our state. Thank you for standing with us as we work to restore what was unjustly taken from our public safety officers.

In 2011, the State of New Hampshire passed legislation that retroactively removed promised retirement benefits for active first responders, leaving them with a diminished sense of security and trust. This has led to a severe recruiting and retention crisis, putting our communities at risk as experienced public safety professionals leave for better opportunities elsewhere. We are fighting to restore these essential benefits and ensure our first responders receive the support and respect they deserve.
Put simply, when you start a job, you negotiate a contract with the State you are working for. Imagine 8 years after you start this job, someone else steps in and changes your initial contract, significantly reducing your retirement package. That’s exactly what happened in New Hampshire to every police officer, corrections officer, fireman, and nurse. It’s not a retirement issue; it’s an integrity issue.
We are committed to serving our members professionally and promptly, using our knowledge and expertise to help you get the positive results you expect and demand from the State of New Hampshire.
